An excellent and up to date description of what's out there and the factors you must consider when making that important decision. This book starts with the basic facts of homebuilding and the choices you will face when of trying to decide what type of aircraft and project will suit you and your needs. It then goes into in-depth evaluations and personal flight reports by the author of each of the major companies as well as shorter descriptions of many of the er ones.

The author tells it as it is; what's good, what's bad, what's hype, and what you'll really be in for once you make a commitment to a particular design. I like this book because it is honest and complete. Yes, EAA's Aerocrafters covers more aircraft, but that coverage is limited to reproductions of factory advertisements.

This book tells you more and gives you the dose of reality you will need if your are going to successfully build and fly your own project. Highly recommended.
